Mechanics

NEIEP is pleased to bring to fruition the new mandate from collective bargaining that requires continuing education for IUEC Mechanics. The agreement specifies that, “effective January 1, 2023, and each calendar year thereafter, each Mechanic shall be required to successfully complete at least eight (8) hours of online continuing education from the curriculum published annually by NEIEP."

• If you passed the Mechanic Exam between July 9, 2022, and December 31, 2022, the Mechanic Required CE is mandatory for you in 2023 and each year thereafter.
• Grandfathered Mechanics (mechanics who passed the exam before 7/9/22) have the option to take the CE, while Mechanics who passed their exam on or after January 1, 2023, will be required to take the CE in 2024 (MR024) and every year thereafter.

The Required Mechanic CE training must be completed annually by all mechanics who passed the Mechanic Exam on or after 7/9/2022. Mechanics who passed the Mechanic Exam before 7/9/2022 are Grandfathered. The training for them is optional.

A certificate of completion is available to the Mechanic for download from the NEIEP Website. You may also retrieve results of training completed by your Mechanics using the form below.

We also offer our NEIEP API which will allow you to retrieve the results programmatically.

To use this form, enter a list of Mechanics using their IDs and SSNs in the format shown in the example and submit the form. The ID is your internal ID for the Mechanic. We ask that you include your internal ID so we can return results without including the SSN.
